At Knight Griffin we have both breadth and depth in our skills and experience on medium and large IT projects located in Europe, Asia and the USA. Our work is client confidential, so we cannot name individual clients. However
examples of the type of recent projects undertaken by our staff include:

Steel Trading
Analysis of the business systems of this European steel company led to several innovative designs to improve the integrity of their legacy business system and extend its life prior to replacement. Design and construction of interfaces to a replacement proprietary financial system was also undertaken.

Electricity Distribution
This UK electricity company needed a more comprehensive workflow to make sure late paying business accounts didn’t slip through the net when it came to credit collections. Enhancements and new functionality for their existing
mainframe financial solution did the trick, introducing workflow procedures for the collections staff which included sophisticated reporting and online diary facilities that significantly improved their debt collection ratio.

Payroll Services
Upgrading and improvement of the accounts receivable systems of this payroll and services organisation in the United States was the direction. After a six week study period, six recommendations were made that were fully accepted and the ensuing one year project revitalised their reporting and analysis capabilities, introduced more enquiry and control screens and provided more informed control in the hands of key staff.

Insurance
This US-based insurance multinational needed to have all of the information about a policyholder’s policies available in a single profile screen so that further appropriate products and services could be offered. Beyond this, extra
capabilities to produce and optionally print historical certificates and schedules were provided so that the position of any customer at any point in time could be quickly determined.

Government
This US government department required a full examination of their existing mainframe accounts receivable solution, together with systems maintenance and the addition of new facilities. Several new features were designed and built, including the capability for a user to find customer records by a variety of search keys where only partial information was available.
